Horacio Uhin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelino Laurin's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Baldomiro Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Gomez having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Baldomiro Berart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Gomez was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Berart in the 38th minute of play forced Díaz AFC's goalkeeper Maximino Gomez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horacio Uhin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Iraido in the 41st minute of play. If Ciro Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Gomez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Berart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portezuelo were furious when Cosme Huly was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portezuelo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! Paulino Jorrin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Díaz AFC's Angelino Laurin got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Díaz AFC's Angel Iraido got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 73 minutes, Ciro Hermon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portezuelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Hermon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Díaz AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Birila came free, but Maximino Gomez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Díaz AFC's zone, Ciro Hermon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximino Gomez came out of the goal and Ciro Hermon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tadeo Veronica charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeo Veronica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tadeo Veronica kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Leandro Birila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Leandro Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Díaz AFC's Maximino Gomez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Hermon in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Díaz AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
