Freddy Oskitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benigno Faron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddy Oskitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Eriberto Elequemedo scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benigno Faron, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Casimiro Gaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Tuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Emanuel Medero fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Casimiro Gaitan, passed just outside the right post. After 18 played minutes Julio Tuste rounded Pacará FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Casimiro Gaitan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. After 26 minutes, Cleto Naldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The supporters of Santurce FC booed when Pacará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Rameriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Faron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Oskitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Casimiro Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Odon in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Eriberto Elequemedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacará FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Elequemedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Faron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Medero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casimiro Gaitan having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddy Oskitz got free with Benigno Faron in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Salvator hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Santurce FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Elequemedo came free, but Benigno Faron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santurce FC were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Pacará FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raul Inautzi took the corner.
