The supporters of Deportivo Toluca FC booed when Alberdi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerardo Quinito was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Deportivo Toluca FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Quinito got free with Saturnino Salomon in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Gerardo Quinito notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Alberdi FC's Saturnino Salomon. Saturnino Salomon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Saturnino Salomon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Quinito in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Gerardo Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Toluca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Quinito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernabe Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Deportivo Toluca FC's Lv Feng Gang seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lv Feng Gang the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Toluca FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lv Feng Gang had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Quinito in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saturnino Salomon saved Alberdi FC from getting behind. Gerardo Quinito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Saturnino Salomon came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerardo Quinito slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerardo Quinito was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo Toluca FC's attentive Bernardo Tomi managed to snatch the ball when Godofredo Procopio made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Everardo Luix hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Quinito in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saturnino Salomon saved Alberdi FC from getting behind. After 62 minutes, Gerardo Quinito made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alberdi FC's Saturnino Salomon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Gerardo Quinito came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Deportivo Toluca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Quinito couldn't finish the play. After 76 played minutes Deportivo Toluca FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Tomi. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Gerardo Quinito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Toluca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Quinito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Salomon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Alberdi FC's Eduardo Gonchan got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes, Gerardo Quinito made it 6-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alberdi FC's Saturnino Salomon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aquilino Otoniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Hurko in the 89th minute of play. Gerardo Quinito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 93 minutes into the match, Alberdi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Quinito came free, but Saturnino Salomon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Toluca FC's Aquilino Otoniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Toluca FC from getting a goal against them. There was no doubt that Deportivo Toluca FC were the better team. Deportivo Toluca FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
