The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justo Gurutz during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caleufú AFC booed when Brea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Gurutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Gurutz hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Caleufú AFC's Paulino Iraitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Caleufú AFC from getting a goal against them. Paulino Iraitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Hernando in the 16th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Caleufú AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Beltxe came free, but Paulino Iraitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dé Trancoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Frasquito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dé Trancoso ran back to his position shaking his head. Norberto Frasquito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Trancoso in the 25th minute of play. Norberto Frasquito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Cresconio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Santo Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Brea FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cristo Fidele hit a great ball. Pablo Hernando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Iraitz having to interfere. Paulino Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Beltxe in the 43rd minute of play. Paulino Iraitz made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Pablo Hernando sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Beltxe made a kick off. A collision led to Caleufú AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Angel Maxin hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Beltxe in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulino Iraitz saved Caleufú AFC from getting behind. If Lisandro Beltxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Hernando in the 67th minute of play forced Caleufú AFC's goalkeeper Paulino Iraitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Oriche was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. The referee gave Brea FC a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Claudio Fero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Caleufú AFC's Paulino Iraitz. 1-0. 77 minutes into the match, Justo Ibar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulino Iraitz. Caleufú AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justo Ibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Pablo Hernando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Paulino Iraitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Caleufú AFC's zone, Lisandro Beltxe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Iraitz came out of the goal and Lisandro Beltxe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brea FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Caleufú AFC for a fine match.
