When Narciso Senen fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Assunta's protests and gave Narciso Senen a yellow card for diving instead. Narciso Senen kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Assunta's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Florinio came free, but Rogelio Rio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gonnet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Rito should have stopped the shot. If Dalmacio Florinio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Froilan Refugio was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Froilan Refugio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Martin Rito saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 54th match minute, Gonnet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Panpili to maneuver through the defense. Pascual Bidari kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Assunta's Hermengildo Poncio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Rito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gonnet's Esteve Panpili got a free kick in the 81st minute. After having played for 86 minutes, Dalmacio Florinio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gonnet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Florinio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Assunta's Rogelio Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Florinio in the 96th minute of play. Assunta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
