With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Berdoi in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Ezkerra saved Ajax from getting behind. Domingo Tibalt hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Albino Favila made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Delmiro Eliu sent off a good shot on target. Emilio Ezkerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Berdoi in the 31st minute of play. Gonzalo Mero struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Albino Favila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Mero in the 35th minute of play forced Cieneguita FC's goalkeeper Albino Favila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Roderigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ricardo Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Mero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Berdoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Ajax's goalkeeper Emilio Ezkerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Roderigo. David Grabiel hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Denis Berdoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 minutes of play Cieneguita FC's David Grabiel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Ajax booed when Cieneguita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Grabiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Carlomagno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Albino Favila. Cieneguita FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Ajax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Sugoi to maneuver through the defense. When Denis Berdoi fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cieneguita FC's protests and gave Denis Berdoi a yellow card for diving instead. Denis Berdoi hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ajax's Victorino Olentzaro got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victoriano Txindoki struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Emilio Ezkerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cieneguita FC. Ricardo Gilabert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Albino Favila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
