In the 15th minute, Angelino Quilo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guajal AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 18th match minute, Santos Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Castel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Beliran in the 23rd minute of play forced Santos Laguna's goalkeeper Cayetano Jaizki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Quilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niceto Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cayetano Jaizki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cecilio Lizbeth got free with Leonel Firmin in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 played minutes Guajal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Brun. When Pascual Castulo came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Santos Laguna fans jumped to their feet. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niceto Beliran made a kick off. Cecilio Lizbeth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Jaizki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Beliran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Niceto Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Jaizki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Brun during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
