Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pascual Castulo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Payogastilla's Froilan Eufrasio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Castulo in the 3rd minute of play. Santos Laguna's Pascual Castulo got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Froilan Eufrasio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Lizbeth in the 8th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Payogastilla got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Cuartio. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Cuartio during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ubaldo Cuartio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Cayetano Jaizki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Precioso, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Feliberto Marquez charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Feliberto Marquez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Payogastilla got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Marquez. Froilan Eufrasio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Lizbeth in the 21st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascual Castulo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Froilan Eufrasio saved Payogastilla from getting behind. After having played for 33 minutes, Anastasio Precioso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Payogastilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Precioso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pascual Castulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Eufrasio having to interfere. Santos Laguna's Cecilio Lizbeth got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saturnino Gorka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Jaizki having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
If Anastasio Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Santos Laguna fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Payogastilla a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eustaquio Pelagius, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Santos Laguna's Cayetano Jaizki. 1-0. After some careless play in the Santos Laguna defense, Anastasio Precioso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Jaizki. The Santos Laguna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Jaizki should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute, Ubaldo Cuartio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Jaizki was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Cayetano Jaizki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Precioso in the 84th minute of play. If Saturnino Gorka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Gorka struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cayetano Jaizki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Payogastilla. Saturnino Gorka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Payogastilla walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
