Zeledon Vergaray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Kaiet in the 10th minute of the match. Bernabe Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Corderro, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Lavayén FC's Fabio Udalaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ranhuil getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bruno Ondino hit a great ball. With a little luck, Lavayén FC's Zeledon Vergaray got control of the ball when Armando Iago tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Florencio Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Udalaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ranhuil getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ildefonso Raymundo hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Lavayén FC's Fabio Udalaitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernabe Urtats made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 35 minutes, Apolo Justin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lavayén FC and the Ranhuil players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lavayén FC! The referee gave Ranhuil a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruno Ondino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lavayén FC's Zeledon Vergaray. 1-1. In the 42nd match minute, Ranhuil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Raymundo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Udalaitz in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernabe Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ariel Kaiet made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Armando Iago made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Vergaray. Lavayén FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ariel Kaiet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Iago in the 59th minute of play. Bernabe Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Udalaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 62 minutes, Florencio Corderro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lavayén FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Corderro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabio Udalaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bernabe Urtats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Udalaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Urtats having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Lavayén FC's Bernabe Urtats threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabio Udalaitz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Fabio Udalaitz fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lavayén FC's protests and gave Fabio Udalaitz a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Lavayén FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Udalaitz. If Florencio Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Ranhuil got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Panpili. Armando Iago charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Iago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th match minute, Ranhuil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Iago to maneuver through the defense. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ranhuil! Bernabe Urtats went to the wrong direction when Conrado Vincente was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
