In the 4th minute Generoso Oliveiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Ilazki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Katia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Anier Lizardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ánimas FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Teodosio Efraim 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Israel Bernad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Ilazki having to interfere. Godofredo Katia succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Higinio Ilazki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Oliveiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 33 played minutes Ánimas FC got a freekick which was hit by Israel Bernad. Godofredo Katia came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Anier Lizardi could save by the left post. In the 37th minute of the match, Godofredo Katia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anier Lizardi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Teodosio Efraim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Gustavo Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Tobias Belmiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ánimas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Belmiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute Teodosio Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Lizardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Cuquero's Teodosio Efraim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anier Lizardi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodosio Efraim made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Rene Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Generoso Oliveiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ánimas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Oliveiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higinio Ilazki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Generoso Oliveiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niceto Etxeberri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Ilazki having to interfere. Eriberto Lohitzun kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ánimas FC's Tobias Belmiro tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ánimas FC's zone, Godofredo Katia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Lizardi came out of the goal and Godofredo Katia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Godofredo Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godofredo Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Israel Bernad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Higinio Ilazki skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Israel Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Faro's late challenge caught a Cuquero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Faro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Ánimas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Faro to maneuver through the defense. Ánimas FC's Anier Lizardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Katia in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Teodosio Efraim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eriberto Lohitzun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Lizardi having to interfere. The Cuquero players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
