After a defensive mix-up in Villaguay's zone, Eliseo Asur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Thomas came out of the goal and Eliseo Asur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Asur in the 24th minute of play forced Villaguay's goalkeeper Victorino Thomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lehman's zone, Danilo Quinito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgard Chico came out of the goal and Danilo Quinito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eliseo Asur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Salomon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Thomas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Hector Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hector Salomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Lehman defense, Danilo Quinito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Chico. The Lehman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Chico should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute of the match Cayetano Corderro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victorino Thomas skillfully saved the ball. Danilo Quinito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Edgard Chico made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Hector Salomon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lehman's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Salomon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorino Thomas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hector Salomon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danilo Quinito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Edgard Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Mazuste charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Mazuste the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villaguay booed when Lehman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Mazuste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Chico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Erauso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Hector Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Thomas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villaguay's Roberto Erauso got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgard Chico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Erauso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lehman booed when Villaguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Bikendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute of the match Americo Etor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victorino Thomas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Villaguay's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
