Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edelmiro Bermudo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Prospero Cloyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Adolfo Misael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidoro Tabor kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Acostilla AFC's zone, Niceto Abadia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Panpili came out of the goal and Niceto Abadia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zeledon Panpili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Abadia in the 15th minute. When Melquiades Sadurni fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos Laguna's protests and gave Melquiades Sadurni a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Santos Laguna got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Sadurni. Daniel Chale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Misael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Bermudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Niceto Abadia took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Panpili. Zeledon Panpili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 36 minutes, Edelmiro Bermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acostilla AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Bermudo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edelmiro Bermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Misael having to interfere. In the 40th minute Edelmiro Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Misael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Edelmiro Bermudo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Acostilla AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Bermudo couldn't finish the play. Edelmiro Bermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Misael having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Chale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Misael came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Acostilla AFC's Prospero Cloyo. But to his dismay, Prospero Cloyo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Prospero Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Santos Laguna's Ovidio Musko got a free kick in the 61st minute. Acostilla AFC's Prospero Cloyo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, Santos Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Karmel to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Melquiades Sadurni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acostilla AFC's Edelmiro Bermudo got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Adolfo Misael managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Acostilla AFC's Prospero Cloyo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 83rd minute, Edelmiro Bermudo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Acostilla AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leopoldo Karmel was slow to take the kick. During this time Santos Laguna's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Santos Laguna's Victorino Ado getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Prospero Cloyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acostilla AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Cloyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Acostilla AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
