After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Teofilo Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rijosos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Teofilo Manuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Jerano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 8 minutes into the match, Piquirenda's goalkeeper Esteve Jerano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateo Marko. In the 17th minute Benito Columbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natxo Rico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Piquirenda were awarded a corner. Gustavo Niguel went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Piquirenda's Gustavo Niguel to fire away a dangerous shot which Natxo Rico despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tabor Arizabalo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Esteve Jerano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tabor Arizabalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Esteve Jerano made a huge save. Tabor Arizabalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Esteve Jerano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Niguel during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda's Gustavo Niguel got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 43rd minute, one of Rijosos F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rijosos F.C..

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benito Columbo was the one to do the kick off. Natxo Rico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Columbo in the 52nd minute of the match. If Tabor Arizabalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Piquirenda's zone, Mateo Marko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Jerano came out of the goal and Mateo Marko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tabor Arizabalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Jerano was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Teofilo Manuelo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Esteve Jerano. Piquirenda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tabor Arizabalo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Esteve Jerano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Artaldo in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Artaldo in the 75th minute of play forced Piquirenda's goalkeeper Esteve Jerano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76thth minute of the game Tabor Arizabalo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piquirenda's Esteve Jerano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esteve Jerano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tabor Arizabalo's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. When Tabor Arizabalo came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Rijosos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tabor Arizabalo couldn't finish the play. Tabor Arizabalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Artaldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteve Jerano having to make a save. Esteve Jerano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tabor Arizabalo went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Rijosos F.C.'s Natxo Rico got control of the ball when Fernando Edwardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Rijosos F.C.'s goalkeeper Natxo Rico had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benito Columbo. If Benito Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natxo Rico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Edwardo in the 97th minute. The Piquirenda supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Piquirenda would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
