After taking down the ball on Smith's corner Dario Tximitx fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Filomeno Dei quite easily take care of the ball. Albino Berenguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Felo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Ferrocarrilera's goalkeeper Filomeno Dei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Mercurio. 65 minutes into the match, Ferrocarrilera's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Beltxe came free, but Filomeno Dei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Smith supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Smith would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
