Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Zubillaga's Ignacio Loren started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 25th minute, Leonardo Silviano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Blas Felo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Abaurre in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horacio Jobo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Clemente Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Zubillaga booed when Ferrocarrilera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Duardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeronimo Duardo's late challenge caught a Zubillaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeronimo Duardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Ferrocarrilera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Duardo to maneuver through the defense. Celedonio Dolfos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 59th minute Clemente Fonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Dei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Jobo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Abaurre's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the match, Ferrocarrilera's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Loren came free, but Filomeno Dei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ferrocarrilera's Jeronimo Duardo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Filomeno Dei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Loren in the 68th minute of the match. When Blas Felo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferrocarrilera's protests and gave Blas Felo a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Zubillaga got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Loren. If Ignacio Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Dei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Loren in the 82nd minute of play. After 88 minutes, Nicanor Senio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zubillaga and the Ferrocarrilera players grew even worse after the yellow card. 95 minutes into the game, Zubillaga's Ignacio Loren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filomeno Dei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ferrocarrilera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
