A collision led to Belgrano AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Rodolfo Sol hit a great ball. After 5 minutes, Modesto Enetz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Belgrano AFC's Luciano Perfecto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Azeari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Oxarra charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Oxarra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belgrano AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Catamarca AFC. Geronimo Ubelteso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luciano Perfecto. 0-2. In the 20th minute of the match Isaias Leocadio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Perfecto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Armando Castel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nemesio Ederono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Veto in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Azeari in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luciano Perfecto saved Belgrano AFC from getting behind. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Belgrano AFC's Agustin Veto in the 34th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Nemesio Ederono was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Catamarca AFC through an amazing save. The supporters of Belgrano AFC booed when Catamarca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Hernando didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Armando Castel came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Belgrano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Castel couldn't finish the play. Armando Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Azeari to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Agustin Veto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Ederono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Melquiades Segio fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catamarca AFC's protests and gave Melquiades Segio a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Catamarca AFC got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Segio. Hector Oxarra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nemesio Ederono. Catamarca AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Agustin Veto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 96th minute of the match Hector Oxarra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hector Oxarra a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Belgrano AFC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Hector Oxarra hit a great ball. Melquiades Segio struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Luciano Perfecto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catamarca AFC.
