The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Saturnino Kiliz hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Ladio in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Candido Corderro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pascual Hernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Ignazio having to interfere. A collision led to Zapala getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Teofilo Merexildo hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Pascual Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Ignazio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pascual Hernandez to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Senio in the 52nd minute of play forced Zapala's goalkeeper Enrique Ignazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
