Benito Soin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fidel Lluis in the 8th minute. Alberto Maurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Ignazio having to interfere. Joaquin Baudelio charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquin Baudelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Longchamps AFC booed when Zapala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Baudelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Ignazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Maurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Fidel Lluis fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zapala's protests and gave Fidel Lluis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zapala's Fidel Lluis got a free kick in the 18th minute. Fidel Lluis hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Alberto Maurino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Longchamps AFC's Benito Soin got control of the ball when Fidel Lluis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enrique Ignazio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Toli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Ladio struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Benito Soin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zapala. If Hugo Ladio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Ignazio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Maurino in the 45th minute of play. Fidel Lluis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Benito Soin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Maurino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Zapala's Joaquin Baudelio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Benito Soin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Merexildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Hugo Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Soin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Longchamps AFC's Victorio Toli got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benito Soin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Ladio, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 69th minute, Hugo Ladio made a precise shot to the right of Benito Soin. Longchamps AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 73 minutes, Joaquin Baudelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Baudelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enrique Ignazio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. There was no doubt that Zapala were the better team. Zapala's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
