The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hector Seguinus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anier Emeterio in the 7th minute. Anier Emeterio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Hector Seguinus made a huge save. Juan Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Gurutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, VA-RI-GON's Gonzalo Papo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. VA-RI-GON's Juan Ostadar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Gurutz in the 19th minute of play. Juan Ostadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Gonzalo Papo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Campeche FC's Hector Seguinus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Eliu in the 27th minute of play. Anier Emeterios short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Hector Seguinus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Batista during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Evaristo Eliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Valentin Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VA-RI-GON's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campeche FC the free kick. When Luis Batista came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Campeche FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Batista couldn't finish the play. Luis Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Ostadar having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evaristo Eliu to strike the kick off in the second half. VA-RI-GON's Anier Emeterio got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Ostadar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernabe Gurutz in the 69th minute. Luis Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Juan Ostadar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, VA-RI-GON's Evaristo Eliu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Seguinus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Campeche FC's zone, Anier Emeterio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Seguinus came out of the goal and Anier Emeterio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, VA-RI-GON's goalkeeper Juan Ostadar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernabe Gurutz. In the 90th match minute, VA-RI-GON was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Jenaro to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe Gurutz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Juan Ostadar made a huge save. Evaristo Eliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Seguinus having to interfere. The supporters of VA-RI-GON booed when Campeche FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Sidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Campeche FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VA-RI-GON.
