Elpidio Gonchan struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Albino Nicholas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piquete. If Florencio Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florencio Kelemen in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albino Nicholas saved Guadalajara AFC from getting behind. Piquete's Elpidio Gonchan got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Florencio Kelemen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Kelemen in the 61st minute of play forced Guadalajara AFC's goalkeeper Albino Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Lope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Benicio Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Piquete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Deunoro to maneuver through the defense. Leon Chale was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Elpidio Gonchan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Florencio Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Piquete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Kelemen couldn't finish the play. Florencio Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Nicholas having to interfere. The supporters of Piquete booed when Guadalajara AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Barea didn't get a good kick on the ball.
