The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Tobias Cresconio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runciman's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Cresconio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafin Miro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Raymond during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7thth minute of the game Pedro Abar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Runciman's Emilio Eladio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th minute, Tobias Cresconio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Runciman fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Abelardo Matro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafin Miro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Nel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tobias Cresconio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emilio Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Abar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Runciman's Emilio Eladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Matro in the 33rd minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Runciman's goalkeeper Emilio Eladio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teofilo Nel to strike the kick off in the second half. Runciman's Tobias Cresconio got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, one of Mencué:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Serafin Miro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Emilio Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Matro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Eladio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abelardo Matro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 75 minute of play. Ivan Ederono hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Pedro Abar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Eladio having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the match Marcelo Goyo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serafin Miro skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Mencué booed when Runciman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Guillerme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermegildo Oliverios, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Emilio Eladio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 3-3. After 96 minutes, Prudencio Furman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Runciman and the Mencué players grew even worse after the yellow card.
