The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Leon Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Benavídez's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Beat came free, but Juan Gerazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonifacio Artizar hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Uriel Locaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Frederik in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Mateus in the 26th minute of play forced Manantiales AFC's goalkeeper Uriel Locaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Salvador Frederik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manantiales AFC's Uriel Locaio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Manantiales AFC got a corner. Benavídez's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Santio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Gaston Egoitz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 35th minute Ruperto Beat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Gerazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benavídez's Juan Gerazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Beat in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Benavídez's goalkeeper Juan Gerazan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Jerrald. Leon Jerrald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Gerazan having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Jerrald in the 52nd minute of play forced Benavídez's goalkeeper Juan Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Mateus struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Uriel Locaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benavídez. In the 56th minute, Ladislao Palos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldo Mitxel's late challenge caught a Manantiales AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Mitxel helped the player get up and apologised. Benavídez:s Juan Gerazan showed great skill when he stopped Claudio Santio:s penalty. After 64 minutes of play, Manantiales AFC's Claudio Santio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Gerazan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uriel Locaio stood somewhat misplaced when Salvador Frederik came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 69 minute. Ruperto Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Juan Gerazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Benavídez booed when Manantiales AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Lizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Santio charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Santio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudio Santio hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ruperto Beat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Gerazan having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Manantiales AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Lizar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Beat in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Gerazan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bonifacio Artizar fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benavídez's protests and gave Bonifacio Artizar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Benavídez's Bonifacio Artizar got a free kick in the 100th minute. Juan Gerazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Jerrald in the 101st minute of play.
