Virgilio Gipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bahoma's Severo Rolado got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Virgilio Gipuzkoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 14 minutes, Severo Rolado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bahoma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Rolado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 minutes, Faustino Iago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahoma and the Chiriguanos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Faustino Iago hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Emiliano Chabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Anselmo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Amadeo Ritchie made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Cruz. Bahoma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Remigio Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Silviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Gipuzkoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Virgilio Gipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Severo Rolado scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Silviano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Chiriguanos AFC's zone, Severo Rolado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Silviano came out of the goal and Severo Rolado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute Virgilio Gipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Silviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severo Rolado came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raimundo Silviano could save by the left post. When Bahoma's Virgilio Gipuzkoa in the 49th minute got a chance for a shot 49th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chiriguanos AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Raimundo Silviano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Gipuzkoa's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeo Ritchie got free with Anselmo Cruz in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute Virgilio Gipuzkoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Silviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Virgilio Gipuzkoa put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Raimundo Silviano. In the 84th match minute, Chiriguanos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Berbiz to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Rencio hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bahoma's Wilfredo Cloyo tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Amadeo Ritchie might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Cruz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeo Ritchie ran back to his position shaking his head.
