Leo Esiquio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Berasko in the 13th minute of play forced Saavedra's goalkeeper Rafael Eneas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Elvio Haritzeder put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pablo Harkaitz. 22 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Rumaldo came free, but Rafael Eneas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Modesto Mercurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Eneas having to interfere. The supporters of Medinas booed when Saavedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Beltran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Eneas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Zacarias Rumaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Medinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Rumaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Eneas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Elvio Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Medinas booed when Saavedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Padro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Rafael Eneas managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Medinas's Modesto Mercurio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45thth minute of the game Zacarias Rumaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saavedra's Rafael Eneas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zacarias Rumaldo made a kick off. Rafael Eneas came out of the goal and Zacarias Rumaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Zacarias Rumaldo sped through Saavedra's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Eneas. Gonzalo Galsino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Saavedra's Elvio Haritzeder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Harkaitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gonzalo Galsino succeeded in the game's 87th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. 94 minutes into the game, Medinas's Modesto Mercurio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Eneas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Despite being the better team, Saavedra failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
