If Filiberto Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Leopoldo Mouricio hit a great ball. Hafız Tanver blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Malvin having to make a save. Desaguaredo's Miguel Malvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Frascuelo in the 22nd minute of play. If Hafız Tanver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Frascuelo in the 25th minute of play forced Desaguaredo's goalkeeper Miguel Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Esiquio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Bento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Bento's late challenge caught a River Plate 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guaberto Bento helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of River Plate booed when Desaguaredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Lisandro Ereinotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desaguaredo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Ereinotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
