The audience was convinced that Nicasio Oroitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blas Bero was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Epifanio Patxi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Francis having to interfere. If Braulio Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Braulio Florian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Florian, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Altamira got a corner. Tonco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After the first half Altamira were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicasio Oroitz was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Tonco got a corner. Altamira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Prospero Isadore ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicasio Oroitz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blas Bero saved Altamira from getting behind. Braulio Florian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jonas Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clodoveo Aurken kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Jonas Francis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Patxi in the 73rd minute of the match. Nicasio Oroitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Blas Bero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Altamira's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Peruxu came free, but Blas Bero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blas Bero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Peruxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Braulio Florian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altamira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Florian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nicasio Oroitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Altamira had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
