Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Payogastilla's Victor Segio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ismael Aresti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Segio in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Washington's Tadeo Urritz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Epifanio Rocendo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ismael Aresti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Segio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 minutes, Salvador Gotzon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Payogastilla and the Washington players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Payogastilla fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! If Tadeo Urritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Rocendo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeo Urritz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Payogastilla's zone, Tadeo Urritz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Rocendo came out of the goal and Tadeo Urritz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Lucas Celio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Washington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Celio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aldo Froylan hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Lucas Celio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Epifanio Rocendo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Celio to strike the kick off in the second half. Ismael Aresti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Fliz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Aresti having to interfere. Ismael Aresti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Washington's Ismael Aresti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Fliz in the 58th minute of play. Victor Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Aresti having to interfere. Sixto Fliz's late challenge caught a Washington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixto Fliz helped the player get up and apologised. Tadeo Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute, Victor Segio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Payogastilla's zone, Lucas Celio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Rocendo came out of the goal and Lucas Celio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th match minute, Payogastilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Froylan to maneuver through the defense.
