The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Braulio Neron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Nuno having to interfere. Lanús's Venancio Nuno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Mambru in the 6th minute of play. Marco Saturnin hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Braulio Neron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aive AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Neron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Venancio Nuno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dionisio Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Romo having to interfere. Ildefonso Mambru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Venancio Nuno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Neron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lanús's Teo Monico got a free kick in the 18th minute. Alvaro Bazil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Venancio Nuno. Lanús's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Aive AFC's Ildefonso Mambru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Nuno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leon Romo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Hondo's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 40 minutes, Braulio Neron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aive AFC and the Lanús players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lanús booed when Aive AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Neron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildefonso Mambru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Venancio Nuno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Braulio Neron to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hipolito Amor during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Jax. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aive AFC's goalkeeper Leon Romo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venancio Nuno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Neron's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. If Braulio Neron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ildefonso Mambru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Nuno having to interfere. With a little luck, Lanús's Venancio Nuno got control of the ball when Ildefonso Mambru tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Aive AFC's Joaquin Vermudo got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the last second Venancio Nuno throw himself and got hold of the ball when Braulio Neron in the 91stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ildefonso Mambru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venancio Nuno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Neron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lanús's Venancio Nuno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Lanús from getting a goal against them. When Igor Federigo fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aive AFC's protests and gave Igor Federigo a yellow card for diving instead. Igor Federigo kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Leon Romo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dionisio Ferdinand went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Aive AFC played a much better game than Lanús and deserved their victory. The Lanús players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
