Cleto Marquez scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Guifre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Banfield AFC's Elias Balendin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Faustino Eudoxio. Faustino Eudoxio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Mateo Guifre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Conrao in the 40th minute of play. If Dario Conrao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mateo Guifre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Cleto Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Eriberto Nicholas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Conrao to make the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Hermengildo Larra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trigales AFC's Faustino Eudoxio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mateo Guifre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Conrao in the 56th minute of play. If Hermengildo Larra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustino Eudoxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Balendin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elias Balendin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Banfield AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Conrao came free, but Mateo Guifre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Balendin in the 95th minute of play forced Trigales AFC's goalkeeper Faustino Eudoxio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Banfield AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
