In the 10th minute of the match, Isaac Montrel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Silbestre was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Isaac Montrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Carlos Silbestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Videl took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tobias Cordareo. Tafna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lázaro Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tafna's Gaudencio Omero got a free kick in the 19th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Brown FC's Mariano Dominguez tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Lázaro Clementi came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Brown FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Clementi couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Brown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Abadia came free, but Carlos Silbestre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brown FC's Lázaro Clementi got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Silbestre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Abadia in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Gaudencio Omero suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 32 minutes, Ruben Fe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brown FC and the Tafna players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard shot by Gervasio Cebrian from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Carlos Silbestre's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 36 minutes, Segundo Matia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Matia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lázaro Clementi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Clementi in the 46th minute of play forced Tafna's goalkeeper Tobias Cordareo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segundo Matia was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Lázaro Clementi could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Tobias Cordareo however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Lázaro Clementi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brown FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Clementi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Cordareo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Segundo Matia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th match minute, Tafna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 68 minutes, Mariano Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Dominguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulises Montel kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Segundo Matia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lázaro Clementi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Cordareo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tafna's zone, Segundo Matia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Cordareo came out of the goal and Segundo Matia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Isaac Montrel came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Tafna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Montrel couldn't finish the play. Despite being the better team, Brown FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
