When Artemio Henrico fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liniers's protests and gave Artemio Henrico a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, one of Liniers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Liniers. After having played for 24 minutes, Amadeo Grabiel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liniers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Grabiel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robustiano Oto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Lucero having to interfere. Amadeo Grabiel might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseo Lucero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amadeo Grabiel ran back to his position shaking his head. Fernan Jaizki took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maximiliano Criston. Liniers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Liniers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dante Neto 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Robustiano Oto struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Eliseo Lucero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liniers. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Oto couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Liniers's Robustiano Oto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliseo Lucero. Eliseo Lucero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1.
