Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
In a very dangerous position, a player in Vallecito fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! With a little luck, Manantiales's Victorio Burutzagi got control of the ball when Delmiro Maurino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manantiales's Lorenzo Baumar got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Maurino got free with Victorio Burutzagi in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Vallecito supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vallecito would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
