Toros Bravos FC's Emiliano Valery got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Once FC's zone, Robustiano Jerano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldo Bertol came out of the goal and Robustiano Jerano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pastor Marko's late challenge caught a Toros Bravos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pastor Marko helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Once FC's Pastor Marko got a free kick in the 17th minute. Robustiano Jerano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Arnoldo Bertol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Bertol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Valery in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Ernesto Perez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Edwardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Raimundo Edwardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mauro Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emiliano Valery was the one to do the kick off.
