Atilano Gau spun around in front of the goal 10 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Guasave Sinaloa's goal. The supporters of Nieto booed when Guasave Sinaloa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Cordaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Ignatius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Kimetz in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Guasave Sinaloa booed when Nieto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Jax didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Casimiro Kimetz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Ignatius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Inge in the 20th minute of play. Lorenzo Ibon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Gau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Silverio Iigo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guasave Sinaloa's protests and gave Silverio Iigo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Silverio Iigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lorenzo Ibon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Claudio Florian. In the 36th minute, Casimiro Kimetz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 played minutes Nieto got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Oto. If Elpidio Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Gelmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Ibon having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atilano Gau was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Guasave Sinaloa got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Firme. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Atilano Gau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nieto's supporters rose to their feet, but Atilano Gau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenzo Ibon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 54th minute of the match Eustaquio Oto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eustaquio Oto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 62nd minute, Nieto's Claudio Florian seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Claudio Florian the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nieto protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Claudio Florian had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nieto! The goalkeeper, Emiliano Ignatius, was totally fooled by Guasave Sinaloa's Carlos Dayam, who 64 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nunez Oliverios hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Nieto's goalkeeper Emiliano Ignatius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Kimetz. Cesar Inge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casimiro Kimetz struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Emiliano Ignatius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guasave Sinaloa. Casimiro Kimetz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Emiliano Ignatius when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 83 minutes, Gavino Perutxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nieto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Perutxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nunez Oliverios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Guasave Sinaloa's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Oliverios came free, but Lorenzo Ibon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Atilano Gau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nieto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilano Gau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesar Inge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Emiliano Ignatius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guasave Sinaloa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
