Nestor Tulio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltasar Pes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Apeleg's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Genaro Micael scored to the left of an out of position Baltasar Pes, making the score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 58th minute Genaro Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of A.S. POT booed when Apeleg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Txurio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Pes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Micael in the 62nd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, A.S. POT's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Montxo came free, but Cirilo Su reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Tulio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Nestor Tulio managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.S. POT's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Tulio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Pes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apeleg's Victoriano Stephen got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Victoriano Stephen off the ground. Victoriano Stephen hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Cirilo Su showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Txurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the referee ended the match the A.S. POT players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
