In the 17th minute, Genaro Sanduru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Benigno Estebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Froilan Senio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gonzalo Leoncio. Acevedo AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 31 played minutes, Maquinas's Diego Derwin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonzalo Leoncio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maquinas reached it. The supporters of Maquinas booed when Acevedo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Barto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafin Hodei in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzalo Leoncio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Acevedo AFC defense, Honorio Peyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonzalo Leoncio. The Acevedo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonzalo Leoncio should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorio Peyo in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzalo Leoncio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Faustino Barto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After a defensive mix-up in Acevedo AFC's zone, Serafin Hodei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzalo Leoncio came out of the goal and Serafin Hodei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maquinas's goalkeeper Marcelo Dolfos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68thth minute of the game Honorio Peyo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acevedo AFC's Gonzalo Leoncio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Acevedo AFC's goalkeeper Gonzalo Leoncio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelo Dolfos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Barto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Leoncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Peyo in the 90th minute of the match. Serafin Hodei came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gonzalo Leoncio could save by the left post. The Maquinas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maquinas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
