In the 8th minute Silverio Matai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Silverio Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Lesardo made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Edelmiro Marz sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Monteros AFC's Guillermo Orzaize sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Lesardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Guillermo Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monteros AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Orzaize was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Lesardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Guillermo Orzaize fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Julio Gaufred might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arsenio Shepherd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julio Gaufred ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Macachín booed when Monteros AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Garoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Lesardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Orzaize in the 41st minute of the match. If Guillermo Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arsenio Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Matai, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Gaufred to strike the kick off in the second half. Monteros AFC's Arsenio Shepherd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Monteros AFC from getting a goal against them. Silverio Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Shepherd having to interfere. Silverio Matai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arsenio Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Gaufred in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monteros AFC's goalkeeper Arsenio Shepherd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Monteros AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. German Cordarrel hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Macachín got a corner. Monteros AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denis Xabel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Macachín's Denis Xabel to fire away a dangerous shot which Arsenio Shepherd despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leon Lesardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Marz's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. A collision led to Monteros AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Emanuel Erramun hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Macachín's Denis Xabel tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arsenio Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Gaufred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Edelmiro Marz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Monteros AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Macachín:s goal. After 95 minutes, Erubiel Heli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macachín and the Monteros AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Macachín's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
