Cerrito's Virgilio Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Gaitano in the 12th minute of play. Ariel Brais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Tobias Gaitano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Marin was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. If Tobias Gaitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inocencio Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltasar Llin having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Ariel Brais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luanco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Brais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Cerrito booed when Luanco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Cidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltasar Llin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Heriberto in the 34th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Cerrito's Inocencio Heriberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltasar Llin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marcial Cidro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Claudio Ricart was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 46th minute Inocencio Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Llin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cerrito's Inocencio Heriberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baltasar Llin. That made the score 2-0 after 48 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inocencio Heriberto made a kick off. Baltasar Llin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Bastian in the 59th minute of the match. Inocencio Heriberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Baltasar Llin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Bastian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cerrito's Inocencio Heriberto got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baltasar Llin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Bastian in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Tobias Gaitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Bastian in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltasar Llin saved Luanco FC from getting behind.
