In the 26th match minute, Rosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Lastur to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Bonifacio Garaona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Ladislao Quilo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Colon. Carolina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ladislao Quilo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 44th minute, Juan Orland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelino Fernado was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Colon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ladislao Quilo's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Eulalio Demario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Rosario's Eulalio Demario sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Colon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Rosario got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Teofilio. Bonifacio Garaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Rosario players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
