Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Palantelén's Justo Araoz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Palantelén's zone, Hermengildo Heriberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Natanael came out of the goal and Hermengildo Heriberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Natanael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Raíces FC's Inocencio Endira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Natanael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Palantelén booed when Raíces FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Elizardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Bastian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Araoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Anacleto Atarrabi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Raíces FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palantelén the free kick. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Justo Araoz put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro Bastian. In the 23rd match minute, Palantelén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Rudolfo to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Palantelén got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Ongile. Inocencio Endira in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rodrigo Natanael, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Isaac Asteri took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauro Bastian. Mauro Bastian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Rodrigo Natanael didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Flavio Rufio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Bastian having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermengildo Heriberto was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Hermengildo Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Natanael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Natanael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Endira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Hermengildo Heriberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Natanael was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Inocencio Endira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Inocencio Endira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
