After some careless play in the Maciá AFC defense, Eulalio Tabby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmar Muc. The Maciá AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmar Muc should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Eulalio Tabby had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delmar Muc. Maciá AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Tabby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Guaberto Ellande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Erlantz in the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Venancio Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peguahó's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Ferrer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmar Muc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guaberto Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Handi, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Andres Erlantz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Peguahó's zone, Andres Erlantz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Ellande came out of the goal and Andres Erlantz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaberto Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Erlantz in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Venancio Ferrer made a kick off. When Rigoberto Hulberto fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peguahó's protests and gave Rigoberto Hulberto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Peguahó's Rigoberto Hulberto got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Venancio Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andres Erlantz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Ellande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Venancio Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Muc having to interfere. The Maciá AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peguahó were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
