Maciá AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greco FC the free kick. Ariel Berbiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delmar Muc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Maciá AFC's Delmar Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Ongile in the 6th minute of play. Zeledon Handi was shown his second yellow card after 7 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Zeledon Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo Fraco during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Greco FC's Gerardo Fraco got a free kick in the 14th minute. Greco FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Aldo Bartolome scored to the left of an out of position Bernardo Beat, making the score, 1-0. 23 minutes into the match, Maciá AFC's Benigno Bidari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Beat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ariel Berbiz struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Delmar Muc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greco FC. Andres Erlantz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Maciá AFC booed when Greco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Ongile didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Muc having to interfere. When Justo Silviano came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Maciá AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Silviano couldn't finish the play. Ariel Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 53 minutes, Justo Silviano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maciá AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Silviano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justo Silviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Beat having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Silviano in the 66th minute of play forced Greco FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Beat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ariel Berbiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Berbiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmar Muc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Israel Ongile struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Delmar Muc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greco FC. Andres Erlantz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ariel Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Israel Ongile came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Greco FC fans jumped to their feet.
