Lobos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 14th minute, Dalmacio Oso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Paolo Odon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 20th minute Paolo Odon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Euloxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Arsenio Horado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orense FC's Artemio Gaizko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 97th minute, but Iker Euloxu got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Lobos hanging dry this time. The Orense FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Orense FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
