Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gervasio Urdaspal started the match with the kick off. In the 9th match minute, Velaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Orkatz to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Hernando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Baldomiro Estebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Albino Vasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escalchi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Velaz booed when Escalchi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Claude didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Guaberto Sal in the 20th minute of play was well struck, but Baldomiro Estebe made a really good save at the right post. In the 21st minute, Agustin Hernando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Escalchi's Baldomiro Estebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Selatse in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Velaz defense, Albino Vasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dionisio Niva. The Velaz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dionisio Niva should have stopped the shot. Lorenzo Mannie hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Selatse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Estebe having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Selatse in the 39th minute of play forced Escalchi's goalkeeper Baldomiro Estebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Urdaspal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dionisio Niva having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervasio Urdaspal in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dionisio Niva saved Velaz from getting behind. The Velaz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Escalchi were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Selatse was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albino Vasco got free with Dionisio Niva in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustin Hernando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Estebe having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Albino Vasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Velaz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Gervasio Urdaspal scored to the left of an out of position Dionisio Niva, making the score, 0-4. Baldomiro Estebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Selatse, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 79th minute, Evelio Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Albino Vasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Agustin Hernando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Rodrigo Selatse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Estebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomiro Estebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Selatse in the 90th minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Escalchi! The referee gave Velaz a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guaberto Sal, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Escalchi's Baldomiro Estebe. 1-5. The Escalchi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
