The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Eguerdi got free with Enrique Ieltxu in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Guillermo Chabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Jaroslav Ondrůšek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nacional Paisas Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luján FC the free kick. In the 78th minute, Maximino Burni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enrique Ieltxu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 81st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eduardo Montxo. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Samuel Loi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match was over Nacional Paisas Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Luján FC throughout the match.
