The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Calchaquí's Anibal Orlandus got a free kick in the 4th minute. Freddy Ferrando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Cruz in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Arnoldo Cordaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidio Eskuin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Azubeli having to interfere. Aquilino Azubeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Gizon in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Jax got free with Freddy Ferrando in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ovidio Eskuin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celestino Hermon kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Canning's Aquilino Azubeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Eskuin in the 26th minute of play. German Kusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Ferrando having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Severo Martxot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquilino Azubeli was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Moises Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Calchaquí's Severo Martxot got a free kick in the 40th minute. A hard shot 42 in the game by Moises Jax from a close distance when the talented Freddy Ferrando managed to make a qualified save. Calchaquí's players were relieved. Aquilino Azubeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Gizon in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. German Kusko was the one to do the kick off. Aquilino Azubeli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Gizon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severo Martxot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Aquilino Azubeli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Canning's zone, Arturo Gizon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Azubeli came out of the goal and Arturo Gizon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Valiente hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Canning's Moises Jax got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Gasteiz in the 74th minute of play forced Canning's goalkeeper Aquilino Azubeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moises Jax blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddy Ferrando having to make a save. After 78 played minutes Calchaquí got a freekick which was hit by Severo Martxot. Canning's Ignacio Cruz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Calchaquí. Freddy Ferrando came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Canning's Moises Jax. But to his dismay, Moises Jax quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Arturo Gizon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquilino Azubeli was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Kusko in the 94th minute of play forced Calchaquí's goalkeeper Freddy Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canning's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
