Ovidio Eskuin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Arnoldo Errando made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Domenec in the 7th minute of play forced Calchaquí's goalkeeper Freddy Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severo Martxot charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severo Martxot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Calchaquí's Severo Martxot got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 10 minutes, Alvaro Domenec made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Calchaquí's Freddy Ferrando tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Alvaro Domenec came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Naranjito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Domenec couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Domenec took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Ferrando. Freddy Ferrando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 25 minutes, Bonifacio Nafarroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naranjito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Nafarroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Carolo Rico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calchaquí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Naranjito the free kick. In the 30th minute, Severiano Oskitz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Calchaquí's Freddy Ferrando didn't even have to move. Manuel Rioja's late challenge caught a Calchaquí's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Rioja helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st match minute, Naranjito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Rioja to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Naranjito getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Severino Hernando hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Arturo Gizon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calchaquí's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Gizon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoldo Errando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Ovidio Eskuin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovidio Eskuin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Arnoldo Errando made a huge save. Bonifacio Nafarroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Ferrando having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Domenec made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Naranjito's Alvaro Domenec dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Arnoldo Errando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Gizon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calchaquí's goalkeeper Freddy Ferrando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Calchaquí's goalkeeper Freddy Ferrando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bonifacio Nafarroa. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Arturo Gizon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calchaquí's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Gizon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Eskuin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arnoldo Errando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-5 became the score in the 84th minute when Bonifacio Nafarroa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 91st minute of the match Domingos Sanson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Ferrando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Bonifacio Nafarroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naranjito's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
