When Severino Hernando fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Naranjito's protests and gave Severino Hernando a yellow card for diving instead. Arnoldo Errando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But to his dismay, Moises Jax quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laureano Bartuelo in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Azubeli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvaro Domenec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ermegildo Oinatz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naranjito's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Oinatz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Azubeli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 23 minutes of play, Naranjito's Alvaro Domenec made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquilino Azubeli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnoldo Cordaro charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnoldo Cordaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Canning's Arnoldo Cordaro got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Severiano Oskitz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aquilino Azubeli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aquilino Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Alvaro Domenec might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquilino Azubeli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Domenec ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After having played for 52 minutes, Moises Jax managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canning's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Jax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Canning's Moises Jax nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnoldo Errando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ermegildo Oinatz struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Aquilino Azubeli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Naranjito. A collision led to Naranjito getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Braulio Vermudo hit a great ball. Ignacio Cruz, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Canning's Aquilino Azubeli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Canning from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Canning's Celestino Hermon got a free kick in the 70th minute. Alvaro Domenec struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Canning's Ignacio Cruz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Naranjito. 77 minutes into the game, Canning's German Kusko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Domenec's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquilino Azubeli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Naranjito's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
