Saverio Shepherd might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Hug. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saverio Shepherd ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Bonifacio Amor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astra AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bonifacio Amor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Eudoxio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Jerardo in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Eudoxio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bonifacio Amor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Joel Eudoxio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Octavio Hug successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joel Eudoxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Bonifacio Amor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Eudoxio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Saul Quirce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Hug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Saverio Shepherd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34thth minute of the game Saul Quirce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astra AFC's Octavio Hug was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Saul Quirce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Hug was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Octavio Hug showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Quirce, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Astra AFC's goalkeeper Octavio Hug had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Cordarrell. After 43 played minutes Astra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Evis. Aquilino Peio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Octavio Hug made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Astra AFC's zone, Saverio Shepherd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Hug came out of the goal and Saverio Shepherd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Saverio Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Hug having to interfere. When Runciman AFC's Saul Quirce in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astra AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Saverio Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Octavio Hug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Saverio Shepherd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Astra AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Aurelio Criston hit a great ball. Saul Quirce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Hug having to interfere. The supporters of Astra AFC booed when Runciman AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Blasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Runciman AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
