Eduardo Bernat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ramon Iratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Payogastilla FC's Efrain Sugar got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 18 minutes, Alfredo Favila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Payogastilla FC and the Gorgonta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredo Favila kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Cosme Pitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Iratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gorgonta AFC's Eduardo Bernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Hitzeder in the 22nd minute of play. David Patxi charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Patxi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gorgonta AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. David Patxi hit a great ball. When Alfredo Favila came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Payogastilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Favila couldn't finish the play. If Alfredo Favila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 28 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Hitzeder notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Gorgonta AFC's Eduardo Bernat. Eduardo Bernat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Gorgonta AFC's Ramon Iratze in the 33rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Cosme Pitin was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Payogastilla FC through an amazing save. Ciriaco Garikoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Payogastilla FC's Jeremias Pedroso got a free kick in the 36th minute. When Ramon Iratze came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Gorgonta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Iratze couldn't finish the play. Justo Jurgi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The Gorgonta AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Payogastilla FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramon Iratze was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Favila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eduardo Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, David Patxi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gorgonta AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 60th minute, Ramon Iratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the game, Ricardo Sal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Payogastilla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gorgonta AFC the free kick. Payogastilla FC:s Cosme Pitin showed great skill when he stopped Silvano Bero:s penalty. Gorgonta AFC's Eduardo Bernat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Hitzeder in the 68th minute of play. David Patxi got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When Albino Corderall fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gorgonta AFC's protests and gave Albino Corderall a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Gorgonta AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Payogastilla FC:s goal. Eduardo Bernat went to the wrong direction when Abelardo Rosario was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ciriaco Garikoitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Pitin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciriaco Garikoitz ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Hitzeder in the 85th minute of play forced Gorgonta AFC's goalkeeper Eduardo Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Payogastilla FC booed when Gorgonta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Hitzeder was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, Payogastilla FC's Eduardo Bernat threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodolfo Hitzeder, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Ciriaco Garikoitz came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Gorgonta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Garikoitz couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
